Shaibu D. Sunday Ugboga is a distinguished expert in academic research specializing in the political psychology of instability as core area of his doctorate degree exploration, diplomatic studies, strategic political analysis, and geopolitical discourse. He has made significant contributions to contemporary African geopolitics, including studies on pre-colonial Africa, post-decolonization, post-democratization, neo-colonialism, the psychology of extremism, and the root causes of underdevelopment in Africa.
As an academic researcher, Shaibu has published extensively on African political inquiries, the origins of political instability in Africa, and European political studies in prestigious European scientific journals since 2012. He is a certified graduate member of the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Administration and the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Management, as well as an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Strategic Management.
Shaibu specializes in political psychology, focusing on the origins of political instability, interstate conflicts, institutional hostility, riots, radicalism, dependency, and the root causes of domestic conflicts in Africa. In 2014, he was awarded the Best Young Scholar Award by the Jan Masaryk Centre for International Studies at the University of Economics in Prague, in recognition of his contributions to academic excellence.
